Hoose House Hold: March 2008

My goal of April 1st to move the twins (and Hunter) to their room has come and gone. Most nights, Olivia sleeps about eight hours before waking up for a feeding. It is still a struggle with Gryffin and food. The "little" guy just doesn't seem all that interested. I may have to give in and feed him a formula bottle before bed so that he can sleep for longer durations. They are both teething now and have two teeth each. They are growing so quickly! Gryffin crawls all over the place and though Olivia seems uninterested in crawling, she loves to stand and walk while holding my hands.

Hunter just got his first pair of glasses! Tom and I have suspected for quite some time that he needed them, and took him to see an eye doctor shortly after his second birthday. The doctor said it was negligible at that point but after he failed an eye exam at school this year we took him to a pediatric opthamologist who told us he has needed them for quite a while. So the search began for "Harry Potter" glasses. Since rectangular glasses are the style right now, it was very difficult. Finally, after the fifth store we went to, we ordered a couple that looked round. I told Hunter that we had to pick one of these pair, even if they weren't perfectly round. Luckily, one of the pairs was round and looked like Daddy's and Harry Potter's.

Tom and I are very fortunate to live close to our families. My sister Aubrey lives a mile down the road from us and she brings her kids over every Friday after work to hang out and play. Her daughter Nadia is three and she and Hunter are just like brother and sister(closeness as well as rivalry). Tom's sister Gloria lives on the other side of the city so we see them a little less often. Her son Nate is also three and Hunter loves to play with Nate for a little more rough, wrestling action.
