Winter pays a visit...

This has been quite possibly the weirdest February, weather wise, that I can remember. We finally got the snow that Hunter's been dying for since Christmas. It snowed about 5 inches all day on Tuesday, and by the end of the day the snow had turned to rain creating a nice icy gaze over everything. My house has no gutters(which is terribly annoying)so during the winter, icicles or ice daggers as I refer to them, hang from our roof the whole way around the house. It is quite a beautiful site in the morning as the sun hits them.

Hunter and Tom played outside all day and Link (our golden retriever) joined in the festivities. Olivia, Gryffin and I watched from the window except for the few moments I stepped outside to take a few pictures. Hunter doesn't like his coat zipped up all the way(insert dramatic choking sound here)so as you can see in the picture, the snow is actually inside his turtleneck! He didn't care at all and it was impossible to get him inside.

The boys were having so much fun romping around in the yard, I was sorry the twins and I couldn't join them. Maybe next winter.

This is a picture I took of Hunter just one week prior to the snowstorm. It was roughly 60 degrees outside and the grass was a brilliant shade of green. I had to keep reminding myself it was February. Hunter is a natural when it comes to posing for pictures. I have pretty much been shoving a camera in his face since he was about eight months when I received a digital camera for my birthday. Everyone says you never take as many photographs of your second or third child as your first, but I have found that to be completely untrue. I have my computers' full hard drive to prove it. I really should think about burning them all to disc someday soon.(This is one of those mental mommy notes that disappear from the brain the instant my finger taps the last key.)

Olivia has cut her first tooth! At the tender age of six months, her tiny little chopper erupted on her bottom gum. She has been overly drooly for quite sometime now but she never complained about it. The face she's making in the above picture is about as cranky as she's been about the whole teething ordeal, so far. I'm bracing myself for the sleepless nights and entirely new nursing experience.(She's already bitten me)Hunter didn't cut a tooth until he was thirteen months old and long after he was done nursing.

I'm happy to say her physical therapy is going well and she's showing signs of major improvement. She's reaching all her major milestones within the expected time frames. She's eating food like a champ now with the clear favorite being avocado. Gryffin, however, is another story.

He's as cute and chubby as they come but up until a couple of days ago refused solids at all costs. He learned to blow raspberries for the sole purpose of spitting out any food that came into contact with his mouth. Because of his adamant refusal to eat, he needed to nurse every two hours to keep up with his calorie needs. Needless to say, I haven't been getting much sleep lately. Then, on Friday afternoon, he ate like an old pro for his dad. Then he ate for me on Saturday and again today. I feel a sense of relief knowing there are sleep filled nights ahead.

Hunter loves to participate in tummy time. He plays with the babies and brings them his action figures when they get bored with their own toys. He gives them a new nickname just about every week. Olivia has been Cupcake, Peanut, and Pretty Pretty Princess. Gryffin has been Cake, Giftcard (I have no idea where that comes from) and Gryffles. They both wave hello and Aunt Aubrey taught Olivia how to clap just today. They are getting so big so fast but they'll always be my little peanut and Gryffles...
