Getting it done...

About a month ago, my mom bought the kids matching outfits. Since photography is a hobby of mine, she figured I could take some pictures of the kids wearing their adorably coordinating outfits so that I could replace the terribly outdated ones I have hanging in my livingroom of Hunter when he was eighteen months old.
Anyone who has kids knows that they grow extremely quickly, especially when they are infants. So, I had a pressing deadline to get these photos taken before the babies outgrew the outfits. Factor in the hit or miss weather in Pittsburgh during spring and a husband that works weekends and you have a near impossible photo shoot scenario.
I don't mean to boast but... I actually did it! Not to mention I'm pretty happy with the results. The kids were cooperative, mostly, and it was a gorgeous day. Normally I wouldn't pat myself on the back for such an ordinary thing but lately it's been getting harder to get things done.
I'm having one of those "feeling overwhelmed" kind of weeks. I don't want to be inside since the weather is so nice and I like to totally ignore the multiplying mess in my house. I pack up the kids in the stroller and get as far away from the house as possible secretly wishing that it will be magically cleaned by the time we get back. Hasn't happened yet.

I guess getting this one thing done gives me hope that all the other things I think will never get done actually will. Does that even make sense? Maybe it will give me the momentum to keep going. If momentum is mass in motion, am I the mass that has to be in motion or is it my giant mass of dirty laundry that has to be moving? At least I have some nice pictures of my beautiful children in their lovely outfits.
